Still having issues? Get your DSG oil changed / Serviced. I can’t stress enough that you need to keep ontop of your DSG oil change services. These are around £200 from Skoda and are due every 40,000 miles. My 2015 is just approaching 80K and will be going into for its DSG service ASAP. DSG service at the main dealer was 3 months (~1700 miles before the trouble started) ago .. got it done slightly early as the car was in for a service anyway. Hmmm, a bit suspicious that I'd have a potential gearbox problem so soon after a DSG oil change but nothing I can prove, I would guess. Your first oil change service at the earliest would be at one year or as soon as you reach 10,000 miles if sooner. If you mean that you bought the 3 year service plan from VW UK at the time of buying the new car then it will operate on the basis of a service once a year or each 10,000 miles finishing at 3 years or 30,000 miles if earlier.
The service department appears to be lumping the DSG mechatronics fluid change in with the Major Maintenance interval at 60,000 km or 4 years. As noted, the 2020 version of the Audi Canada's service intervals document specifies a 60,000 km replacement interval for the mechatronics fluid with no time limit.
Maintenance. I have a 2017 gti and did my dsg oil and filter today using the measure and top fill method and the car drained 5.7 liters out! Not sure if thats a normal amount or if it was overfilled previously. I read it should drain between 4.5-4.7 liters. I ended up filling it back up with about 5.2 liters because I saw the dsg capacity is 5.
But in general, there are a few rules you can follow to suss out when it’s time to fix the oil. Manual gearboxes normally require an oil change every 30,000 to 50,000 miles. Automatic gearboxes
Hi everyone. I've got 2.0 diesel Transporter with a 7 speed DSG gearbox. Its done 36k miles and was due for gearbox oil service. I've changed the oil filter and drained 6 litres of oil in total from drain plug and mechatronics unit. I've filled it with 6.8 litres of oil and during leveling procedure ( van is level, oil temp at 40C,taken with
My 2017 VW Golf GTI 2.0 calls for oil changes at 15000 kms or 1 year. My gut feel is that the oil should be changed at least twice a year or every 7 or 8 thousand kms.
1. Jack up the car and support the car on jack stands on all 4 corners. The car should have a slight tilt towards the AFT. This will permit a slightly higher amount of oil to be poured through the filler hole. 2. This is the gearbox’s sump: The filler hole up close: And the drain hole: All new Volkswagens come with 2 years or 20,000 miles of free scheduled maintenance under the Carefree Maintenance program. This includes the first services at 10,000 miles and 20,000 miles. The Change your oil as the manufacturer recommends, and your engine may deliver 200,000 or more miles of service. Neglecting to regularly change the oil and filter can reduce your engine’s long-term Assuming you have, you can check in your car’s settings via the infotainment screen when the oil change service is due. If it shows the oil service is due on a date that’s approx 24 months and a mileage of circa 18k, then the car’s settings are correct to generate the service warning for long life servicing. If the settings show the first

Here’s a brief overview of everything you need to know about regular maintenance for the 2017 Golf Alltrack. If you want your car to run as well as it can, then it’s imperative that you stay on top of this. Every 10,000 miles: Engine oil (change), engine oil filter (change), brake pads (check brake pad thickness and brake discs), windshield

The wife’s daily commute to work is less than 5 miles, so the oil gets changed between 5 and 6K miles. If you keep your cars well past 100K miles, like we normally do, other maintenance items like belts, hoses, coolant change, etc. become considerations. Then there is the prospect of intake valve cleaning.
