Tristan Descamps September 3, 2023 | Version v2.9g. Completely overloads the watch (in my case Garmin fenix 5x) and causes a freeze. Even by just scrolling over to reach another widget.. Untill you manually delete the widget with the phone app you wont be able to fix this. Tried multiple ways of resolving this issue but nothing seems to work.
The battery, when stopped, was at 48%, which is a dramatic difference from 20% the other day! Glad it helped! There have been a lot of updates. Make sure you are in latest update and after each update reboot you watch (helps clear update glitches some of which can drain battery). My tests: Battery drain in Activity mode (GPS+OHR+BT) is approx 7-8% per hour => ~14 hours endurance, OK for an older watch as it has 19h endurance when new. Battery drain during the smartwatch mode / Stanby OHR+BT is approx 1.2 % /h => overall needs to be charged every 2-3 days Stamina seemed kind of low so I have tried the following things Turn off pulse ox or set it to manually and check your watchface. Some watchface features drain the battery faster than the stock faces. Famous-Strain-3012 • 1 yr. ago. Mine is not able to get 10-day battery life even having the pulse ox off and backlight at lowest setting without any activity running.

I have a fenix 6 pro solar , only a few months old. Got it in the summer, when it was launched. I have the blue / white one. This week I noticed that the battery is dropping dramatically. charged it in Wednesday and had to charge it yesterday ( Friday ) because it had a low battery alert.

Garmin 5s plus - As I thought, one of these things helped: Changing watch face to simple garmin Manually updating 5s + to 12.71 beta Switching usb protocol from mtp to garmin Turning the watch off and on briefly, right after it completes syncing activity to the Garmin connect app After battery draining up to 100% daily, it seems fine now.
Recently though, I've noticed I've been needing to charge this MUCH sooner than normal. I don't get anywhere near 3 weeks. Here are my current settings - Garmin Stock Watch Face - Backlight only on when I press button or touch screen ( after midnight I have to press button, touch screen is off completely ) - Wifi is OFF - PulseOx is OFF - HR is It does not matter what kind of settings I activate/deactivate, as long as phone is connected the battery drains fast. Hopefully they will fix this issue short term few days back there was a Garmin Connect update on my Android phone. Since then the battery drain of my Fenix 6 went down to 0.33/hr, which is much better than it was before Garmin - Chris over 3 years ago in reply to MrMysakovich +3 verified If you ever experience quicker than normal battery drain after a new software update on any Fenix series watch, the issue will often be resolved by resetting your watch.
The new software update is rolling out now to Garmin Fenix 7, Enduro 2, Epix (Gen 2) and Taxtix 7 devices, and should fix an issue that caused the watch's battery to drain much more quickly than it should. As Gadgets & Wearables reports, the new software (version 9.37) is a public release, meaning it's being pushed out to all users rather than
- Custom watchface "Digital for TactixD v2" with HR graph display configured, no GPS data on watchface - Two custom data fields for activities, both for HR evaluation - Custom widget "Batter battery widget" for battery drain analysis and logging of runtime since charge - Bluetooth and wifi always off - No phone integration like messaging Garmin Fenix 5s battery drain. Hey there. Recently I used a garmin 5s, and bring it to an ultramarathon event. However just 9 hours and the battery died on me. On the first few hours, i noticed that i opened GPS+Glonass, hence i changed it immediately to normal GPS. however the drain is still bad and i changed it to ultratrac.
I love this watch and the fact its battery sucks is really annoying :( Update the next day: I tried reboot the watch to default and no pairing with Garmin Connect on IPhoneX. Surprisingly the batter last for like 0.25%/hour. Tried connect with the phone without download any app/face/widget, battery drop to 1%/hour.
After 48 h: From 100% to 90%! Firmware-Version 20.0, Fenix 5x, no third part Apps or Widgets!. Seconds are displayed in my Watchface. It is my third Fenix 5x and I had never had problems with the battery life. On the two first units, I had problems with the USB-Connectot (pin 3!). But now, it seems tha tthe problem has been fixed!
