Skyscale cannot damage enemies when you land as the flame circle is out of alignment when you land, also flame aoe tick is so poor, griffon can do pinpoint damage to enemies every single time.. Think of Skyscale as a "legendary mount". Like all legendaries you don't really need it for anything, but like all legendaries, it allows for a lot of QoL and convenience. In this analogy a Griffon and a Beetle would be your "ascended" mounts based on their usefulness and the rest "exotics".
